Kennebunkport, Maine is a wonderful place to stay if you are traveling with dogs. So many of our local B&Bs and Inns welcome dogs with open paws. It is rare to find a destination with just so many pet-friendly vacation options...from walk-to-town accommodations to seaside cottages to country retreats. Try one and stay again and again or try them all! Just be sure to book early as rooms in pet-friendly hotels in The Kennebunks go fast. To help get you started, here is a list of lodging options in the area.
If you are traveling with a dog, here are some questions you may want to ask while making a reservation at a pet-friendly hotel:
1. Do you have any size restrictions for pet guests? 2. What are your rates for pets? 3. Do you require a pet security deposit? Is it refundable? 4. Where do you expect pets to be curbed? 5. Do you provide dog dishes? Bedding? 6. If applicable, do you provide access to refrigeration for our pet's food/medication? 7. Are dogs allowed in any of the common areas? 8. Are dogs allowed to stay in the room during breakfast? Other times during the day? 9. Do you have a fenced play area for dogs?
